This is done by one of two ways:
1. Ablative Laser (The oldest one): Is the removal of the skin layer and then the upper part of the dermis layer. After this session the skin is treated as in the treatment of skin burns byclosed bandage after the operation, cleans and replaces every two day. This is done using (Erbium Yag laser)& (CO2 laser(
2. Non- Ablative Laser (The newest one): It uses a new technology called (fractional laser) in which the laser device send a laser thermal waves perpendicular to the layer of the dermis without burning the epidermis so the
dermis responds and begin to produce new collagen. This session lasts for 15 minutes after that we notice a simple redness that lasts from 6 to 8 hours and then disappear. The patient can go to his work from the next day where freshness and vitality starts to appear on the skin within a week of the operation, also he starts to observe the improvement and narrowing of the pores gradually and this continue steadily up to 50% or more when repeating these sessions. We usually see the final results after a month from the last session.
The idea of stimulating the production of collagen with this technology used in acne scar removal is the same as used in other similar cases, such as improving wrinkles, treat sagging eyelids eyes, and also to improve the white body stretch marks resulting from weight gain or pregnancy and childbirth
